No discussion of precious metals that occurs anywhere in the earth without silver being mentioned. Gold and silver often go hand in hand and have remained the most coveted of metals for thousands of years and still counting, and just like gold, silver is also highly regarded as an investment option and has often been used for coins, bars and jewellery which just shows off its economic importance. Silver has a multitude of unique technical, industrial and medical uses and is also considered as a store of value which makes it a viable commodity to own and invest in.
Silver is a metal that has increased in value over the years just like gold, however, the price of silver is still very low, considering its many uses, this represents a huge opportunity for investors who want to start investments in commodities. Many investors use the ‘gold-silver ratio’ to compare how the prices of these two commodities are performing and this analysis has shown that the price of silver has never gotten past one tenth of the value of gold which is a perfect opportunity for long term investors considering that it is far more accessible and cheaper than gold.
