As mainnet deployments progress, Matic has excitedly annouced that MarbleCards is now live on the Matic Mainnet.

MarbleCard is a collectible card game that makes use of NFTs which are created from web URLs. A URL can be made into a Marble card only once, hence each Marble card is unique and rare. The recent high gas fee on Ethereum has restricted people from minting new cards, but this has been resolved.

As MarbleCard come onboard to the Matic mainnet, its users now enjoy transactions speed of 1 to 2 seconds and an extremely low gas of close-to-zero cost. Also, NFT enthusiasts are now able to mint new cards to their desire, without restrictions by the scalability bottlenecks of Ethereum.

In celebration of such an auspicious event, a new limited edition card label has been introduced along with classics like Genesis and Origin. As voted by the Marble community, Matic is elated to announce the new limited edition series, Phoenix.

Note: Only the first 333 cards minted on the Matic mainnet will receive the label. Among the 333 slots, 83 will be kept for upcoming competitions and rewards. This means, only 250 cards will be minted under the new limited edition series during lunch. This makes them highly unique and super rare.

MarbleCards has undoubtedly made a strong move in the right direction!

To cap it all, in celebration of MarbleCards onboarding on the Matic mainnet, the duet has collaborated to launch a community giveaway worth of $200. 10 lucky winners will each receive $20 in MATIC tokens.

About Matic

Matic Network brings massive scale to Ethereum using an adapted version of Plasma with PoS based side chains.

Decentralized Apps are making huge progress but the current blockchain ecosystem is not prepared to scale as per the demand.

The issues of slow block confirmations and high gas fees need to be solved before we target mass adoption by mainstream users. And most importantly, it needs awesome user experience.

We aim to change that by simplifying the interaction between users and the decentralized world. We want to make interacting with the decentralized ecosystem so easy that anyone can do so without worrying about the complexity of the system.

Matic Network solves the above problems by building a decentralized platform using an adapted version of Plasma framework that provides a solution for faster and extremely low-cost transactions with finality on the main chain.

The system ensures liveliness using PoS checkpoints which are pushed to the Ethereum mainchain. This enables a single Matic sidechain to theoretically achieve 2^16 transactions per block, and possibly millions of transactions on multiple chains in the future.
