SKALE Network Recap — May 2023
The month has been an interesting one with lots of interesting milestones and eventfull activities. In this article, we will give a summary of all exciting moments the SKALE ecosystem had in the month of May!
The month kicked off with a milestone for the SKALE ecosystem as SKALE Network officially passed $1 Billion in gas fees saved and it was celebrated with a first ever free-to-mint, commemorative NFT, made available exclusively to members of SKALE’s zealy community. There was no purchase required, All eligible wallet addresses received their commemorative NFT via airdrop within one week of the end of the claim period.
SKALE integrated NFTLabs, the team at NFTLabs started building their suite of fun and engaging web3 products aimed at sports fans on SKALE Network. NFT Labs integrates its social-plus marketplace, Itsmyne, for the secondary trading of Mywin (One of their flagship products) NFTs, and Metamyne, a metaverse experience where fans get to explore different sports-based experiences and play-to-win games. SKALE’s fast and free gas architecture, will enable NFT Labs deploy their suite of products at scale as they onboard more users into web3.
An educative session was held on Twitter space on ‘Into the SKALEverse Thursday , featuring SKALE’s newly announced partner — REBLapp, learning about their cutting-edge, decentralized AI & social platform which is built on the SKALE Network.
SKALE partner spotlight was held with Tankwarzone, featuring tons of revealing and educative questions about the project. The team revealed that what made their project stand out is its enjoyable gameplay, seamless blockchain integration, and diverse types of NFts. They also added that they offer a unique renting system, cloning capabilities, and their compatibility with Android devices sets them ahead.
OIX official, started building on SKALE! OIX official is a visually engaging social platform that aims to make Web3 accessible for everyone, allowing users to create, interact, and transact with digital assets effortlessly, making the ownership and creator economies more inclusive. This protocol to offer a friction-free experience, making web3 invisible and enabling the “next billion” users to take part in blockchain ecosystem.
Flight Force 4 started building on SKALE! Flight Force 4 is revolutionizing gaming with its ambitious space-themed first-person shooter game,offering unforgettable gaming experience that will leave gamers stunned and completely engaged. Users get to engage in fierce battles across planets, upgrade characters, and dominate the battlefield. The game opted to build on SKALE as a result of its fast and efficient blockchain solution that easily onboard gamers and reward them. Also, SKALE’s zero gas structure and its ability to allow multi transactions makes it the perfect fit for Flight Force 4.

Into the middle of the month, SKALE processed more than 1 MILLION transactions and saved over $30 MILLION in gas fees!
SKALE checked in with the team at NFT Moon Metaverse and featured them in the Partner Spotlight. It was a revealing session which shed more light on how the project was birthed, What differentiates NFT Moon metaverse from other metaverses, the most intruiging feature of the project and why they decided to partner with SKALE.

On the third Friday, The Co founder and CEO of SKALE Network, Jack O’holleran and TheGreatAxios were at Build Eth to showcase SKALE to the SF Ethereum Dev community. It was an inspiring and educative presentation as Jack worked on the topic of shared security models. In his presentation, the CEO talked about what shared security is, the consensus mechanism that drives it, and why modular architecture is highly essential in scaling. Also, SKALE software engineer Sawyer Cutler presented a workshop which unveiled the features and capabilities of SKALE games. Sawyer went further by demonstrating the simple steps on how to integrate blockchain into a game utilizing SKALE, also displaying a demo of a game side-by-side with the block explorer, which equally showcased how quickly in-game transactions register on a SKALE chain.
